Joyful Observations of Unfiltered Reality (Collaborative Art Project)

Taking part in the project
If one of the photos catches your eye and resonates with you, it might mean you have a story to share and could be part of the project. The next step is to explore why it speaks to you, and put that into words. Here are some ideas to help you make the connection:

-It reminds you of a childhood memory. Try to describe it: “I remember…” Where was it? When? What happened?

-It brings to mind a situation you’ve experienced as a parent, grandparent, or friend. Where was it? When? What happened?

-It makes you think of a book, a movie, a song, or a painting. Which one? What in the photo connects to that work?

-You’re drawn to the subject of the photo. What do you like about it? How does it make you feel?

-You appreciate the aesthetics. What do you like about the image? How does it make you feel?

-You’re not sure why it resonates with you. Try answering one of these prompts: What does it mean to you to see the world as a child? / The greatest joys of childhood are… / If I could see the world through the eyes of a child once more…
