Most photographs are made to celebrate major events — weddings, birthdays or new arrivals — but some of the most meaningful memories are found in ordinary days.
Children playing in the garden. Sunday breakfasts. Friends gathered around a table. An afternoon at the beach. Quiet moments at home.
Working in a documentary style, I photograph families as they are, without elaborate poses or staged situations. The aim is simply to preserve moments that may seem ordinary today, but often become invaluable with time.
Based on the Isle of Wight, I photograph local families and visitors wishing to create lasting memories of their time here. Although most sessions take place on the island, I occasionally travel for special projects and families interested in building a long-term photographic record over the years.
