From the Window

Focused on the opportunity the window provides to the viewer and its importance as a source of light, this series explores how the light becomes an opening to the outside world, providing a personal passage between inside and outside which is unique to each of us. The window represents a call to travel metaphorically, a promise of somewhere else.

Using my own window on the world, my camera, I explore this narrative through scenes taken from around the world: Tokyo, San Francisco, Isle of Wight, Warsaw, Venice and Paris.

As our freedom to physically experience the outside world is curtailed, this relationship we have with the humble window has never felt more prominent than it does today.

Depuis la Fenêtre - Centrée sur l'opportunité que la fenêtre offre au spectateur et la source de lumière qu'elle procure, cette série explore comment la lumière devient une ouverture sur le monde extérieur, offrant un passage personnel entre l'intérieur et l'extérieur qui est unique à chacun d'entre nous. La fenêtre devient un appel au voyage métaphorique, une promesse d'ailleurs.

En utilisant ma propre fenêtre sur le monde, mon appareil photo, j'explore cette narration à travers des scènes prises dans le monde entier : Ile de Wight, Melbourne, Paris, San Francisco, Tokyo, Venise.
