I took this photo on the ferry back to the Isle of Wight, where I've been living for a year now. There's something unusual about living on an island and taking the ferry to the mainland is part of the ordinary. The huge windows offer passengers a remarkable landscape that changes with the season, the weather and the time of day. For me, this crossing is always an ideal opportunity for photography. 
In this one, the silhouettes in the foreground, static as in front of a cinema screen, contrast with the wild, animated exterior.

J’ai pris cette photo sur le ferry me ramenant sur l’ile de Wight, où je réside désormais depuis un an. Il y a quelque chose de singulier à habiter sur une ile et prendre le ferry régulièrement pour se rendre sur le continent fait partie de l’ordinaire. Les immenses fenêtres offrent aux passagers un paysage remarquable, qui diffère selon les saisons, la météo et l’heure de la journée à laquelle on voyage. Cette traversée est à chaque fois pour moi une occasion idéale pour la photographie. 
Dans celle-ci, les silhouettes au premier plan, statiques comme devant un écran de cinéma, contrastent avec l’extérieur animé et sauvage.
